A poem: The Simple Man Arriving Through the Fields by David Troupes

This is a very fine poem! It’s poetry like this that makes me want to learn more about how to write my words well. If life is the dance of form and emptiness (to mix mythologies in a probably unforgivable way) then writing is something of the same. My relationship with the emptiness is good; it’s the form that needs attention these days. By which I mean – the inspiration is in good repair, but the craft requires work. This poem is well-crafted and has magic in it. Respect.
